LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST

It has been 11 years to the day, October 2, that I was released from prison. On this 11th Anniversary of my release I can reflect on a long journey filled with many great stories and some set backs. No life is without set backs. Set backs are just small pieces to a large puzzle. Learn from life's lessons and use the knowledge you gain to improve yourself and the lives of the ones you love. .

On the bright side of things, I am at peace for the first time in my life. Today I am living a dream. My children are so special to me and touch me in ways I can't even explain. I watched my youngest daughter attempting to hit musical notes in her vocal class, she was so amazing. Soon after my middle daughter, with her bright smile and long fingers, jammed away in her piano class. All three of my children are fantastic and I sit back in awe of their talents. They are all so beautiful and as I watch and listen to them it makes me proud to be a real father…don’t take life lightly, find your purpose and live your dream your way.

Jeff, I just saw your commercial on Food Network... I had no idea about your past. Thank for all that you do. For giving others a second chance. Wishing you the best, man. And congrats on celebrating your freedom anniversary.

All the best,

At last I found you. You are the person who can give my daughter who is currently going down the road path in life. She wants to go to culinary school however she is torn between being "cool" and fulfilling her amibiton to be a chef. I desperately need you to let her know that there is something better out there other than the streets. Can you help? We live in Atlanta GA

Dear Chef Jeff,
I applaud you in all of your efforts. I am "The Legal Chef." I love your approach and intervention through children. I have dreamed of the same concept but I have been unable to launch such project. As being in Law Enforcement & Culinary, I do understand how they work well together to give our children an alternative off these streets. Maybe you can give me some direction on how I can initiate such a project here in Chicago.
Keep doing what youre doing.

Dear Chef jeff. I am a 37 yr. old separated mother of 4 daughters. when I first saw your advertisement on the cooking channel, i was stunned and stopped dead in my tracks when your bio came on. Chef, I have been fortunate to travel all around the world as I am a "PK". I have been afforded all the wonderful goodies life has to offer and then some. In my 30's after getting married and having 2 babies at the time, I began getting in some trouble. Mostly financial. Having a no good husband and tryuing to make ends meet as I am the Lioness in my household. I will and would do anything to make sure my children had and have. I'm no spring chicken but I love to cook and I love food. I am constantly trying to create new things. Do you have any room for an older woman such as I trying to regain a good place in society. Obviously with a mini record or any record, jobs are limited. My newest baby who is 7months is son not aware of her mother as a failure in life, but my other 3 are. they dont tell me, they lift me up, but i am tired of being stagnant. My dream is to become a chef and own a restaurant. I do have some good qualities, however. Im anal about cleanliness and order. My children are the same way. How does a 37 yr old separatedm mother of 4 daughters regain her place in society as a productive citizen?
Thank you for your story, even if I dont get to the mountain top, I will at least be known for trying.

Hey Chef Jeff!

I LOVE your show. I live in New York and my Mom lives in Illinois but we get on the phone every Sunday and watch it together. I have a question: how do you stay faithful when there are so many obstacles in your path? I'm a corporate lawyer who has always dreamed of using the law to help people (so what obstacles have I faced, you may ask). Well, because I was feeling unfulfilled, I left my firm to start my own consulting business and in the process became the Asst. Legal Producer for Judge Hatchett. That show was instrumental in helping me find my calling and refine my vision for what I want to do (I want to produce my own Teen Court program). However, I have come upon several obstacles to achieving this goal but I'm staying strong (it's hard not to become discouraged though). How did you keep the faith when you had so many obstacles confronting you on your path? How did you know that everything would be okay when everything around you was saing that things might not be okay? I'm not losing the faith Chef Jeff, but I am struggling to keep it right and keep it tight! I know you have the answer! You're an inspiration to us all. Thank you so much.
